I bought this book for my nephew after reading it to my 1 year old Godson...
I have never seen any child so enthusiastic about a book!
It is made of appropriate material for heavy young hands (hard card-back) and the entire book rhymes enabling you to create a fun rhythm.
Each page has a texture to touch or something interesting to play with keeping the youngster's interest and they seem so excitable to turn the page!
This book is THE must-buy for a first book!!!

pages are durable and really good quality.
my little boy prefers reading books with photos in as opposed to pictures. he also likes looking at one photo per page as opposed to turning a page and being overwhelmed with lots of images.

My 2 year old was given this book when he was born and it has remained one of his favourites since he started showing an interest in books.
The pictures are lovely and lots of different textures to feel and the rhyming makes it fun to read and listen to (not to mention easy to remember when you have a toddler turning pages over before you have finished). We find ourselves reciting it in the car when we aren't even reading it just to keep him happy.

Lovely book - why is it out of print?
Best alphabet book Ive found as it reads like a rhyming story. lovely pictures with touch and feel features. Really nice quality of construction.
