Well i found this on my recommendations list recently. I've been reading a lot of paranormal chick lit as of late and have really got into the genre. When clicking on this one i found there was as per usual no synopsis available. So heres what the back cover says...
Megan Barrows has retired from a brief career as a ghostbusting psychic and now uses her sixth sense to fill her Seattle antiques store with objects with happy pasts. After once nearly having the soul sucked out of her by a malevolent spirit, she prefers a quiet life. Case Lambert is a real estate prospector who restores old houses, then sells them for profit. He has just bought a dilapidated mansion so amazing that he wants to keep it for himself, but the house appears to be haunted. Seriously haunted. A few inquiries lead him to Megan Barrows. Megan at first refuses to help, but Case is a master of persuasion. Moving into the mansion, they discover that one of the ghosts has a thing for Case -- and there may be even more amorous spirits inside this veritable paranormal vortex. But it soon becomes clear that no one -- dead or alive -- can stop Megan and Case from ending up in each other's arms. . . I liked the sound of it and took a risk, as i prefer to buy books that already have some feedback, but i was pleasantly surprised. This book is well written, the characters well thought out and there are some truly wonderfully original laugh out loud moments. Theres a bit with a nightgown that i think is priceless. The relationship between the three main protagonists is brilliant, Meg, Case and Eric all have their seperate identities and bounce off each other brilliantly during arguements. As with any ghost based story there is a mystery of a dead body. And i really found myself caring about this one and what had actually happened. There are a few intense confrontations, some teasing and a few really interesting settings. It's definitely worth buying. There are only two haunted house stories that i prefer over this one and they are both from two of my all time favorite series (i.e. already have established characters and themes). So taking all that into consideration i give this five stars.

Well, this is actually my first paranormal chick lit book - so I couldn't compare it much with any other books like it. I usually read spooky kind of books, and I thought I just wanted to give it a try after I read one of Lisa's book - Have glass slippers will travel, and I do like it. To me, this is a really good book, I absolutely love it. When I read it on the night I felt that eerie feeling and I wouldn't want to go on but I just can't get my hands off the book - if you know what I mean. So, yeah. A five star from me. :)

I never know what to expect from Lisa Cach. From Mermaid of Penperro through George and the Dragon, to Dream of Me, it can go from historic, to travel fantasy, to erotic succubus. Some I liked, some I didn't, but all have been original, all have brought out some degree of enjoyment or annoyance. This one, however... I don't know, Blah?
A spooky haunted house owned by a studly man, he needs a medium to help him rid himself of the ghosts. Naturally he finds a pretty medium, and the usual formula book for today's 20-30 somethings ensues. Raging hormones, lusty thoughts (the hero sees the heroine as dessert, the heroine ogles the hero as sumptuous eye candy), two minutes after meeting one another, they are both thinking condoms and the fastest route to the nearest bed, oral sex being, naturally, the prerequisite if a handy condom is not available. True love blossoms (how could such a promising start fail?). Because I am not of the 20-30 something generation, I find it all just a little tawdry, shallow, and a bit of a yawn. So, Lisa Cach has now officially joined the MaryJanice Davidson, Katie MacAlister, Amanda Ashley, Lyndsay Sands, Lori Foster, etc. club. All very successful authors, all bestsellers, all pretty much interchangable. Read it, forget it, go on to the next "romance", it should be listed on the top of the NYT bestseller list or the bargain bin of your nearest used book store. 2 of 2 people found the following review helpful:

I've never read a Lisa Cach book that I wanted to re-read or keep. Some are just ok, and some are just skimmers that go straight to the used book store. This book is no exception thus far.
Although most of Lisa Cach's books have very engaging plots, her characters are kind of 1 dimensional. In this book, Case, a carpenter who buys fixer-uppers and resells them, finds the house of dreams that he wants to keep for himself. The only problem is that it's haunted by ghosts that are always molesting him at night in his bed or doing odd things around the house. Meagan, an antique store owner and retired ghost hunter; is offered the job of getting rid of the ghosts since she is known to have the 6th sense in speaking/seeing ghosts. The story started out well, but the scenes got repetitive, and the main characters weren't very engaging. The ghosts were the most engaging of the characters, except their personalities or justifications for their actions were never truly explained. Why would a living person trap a ghost to a house? How did the owners know to trap a ghost if the ghost had died way before the owners? The conclusion never resolved all the questions I had in the book and was an extremely contrived no explanation happy ending. Perhaps the story would have been better for me if the books was steamier, but frankly, the hero getting molested by ghosts or possesed people were a little hotter. I think this is the last book of Lisa Cach I will buy new. In the future, I will only buy from used book stores. This one is definitely getting dropped of there too. Of the Lisa Cach books, the only one that I truly liked was "Dream on Me". 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful:

This book was a light-hearted read that was entertaining but not excellent. It was a surface read good for weekends and lunchbreaks. I recommend for anyone who just wants a fluffy story to lighten your mood.
