Babbit is looked after by the big one and the little one. The little one is supposed to look after him, but sometimes she doesn't do that good a job at it... While having a picnic, poor Babbit is captured and ends up tied to a tree with splinters in his bottom. Luckily, after searching high and low, the little one does manage to find him and run home - even more luckily, she can run really fast. This is a lovely story, showing all the fun escapades children get up to with that one, favourite toy, who shares their adventures. The writing is just a little bit naughty, enough to provoke giggles, and the illustrations are, of course, excellent. Lydia Monks is such a talented author/illustrator and this is a wonderful book to read aloud and share the joy of reading with your own little one (and their cuddly of course!).
