This hairdryer has so much power my hair dries so quickly now and because of the ionic technology its shiny and soft. Was so happy, I bought a second one!!!
I have hair that, to quote one of my hairdressers, should be patented by a mop company for its ability to retain water, so anything that does a decent job of drying it in less than 20 minutes on full has my thumbs up. This dryer is not only quick, it isn't rattly or flimsy to hold, it leaves your hair pretty frizz-free even without products and looks quite nice too. It has an impressive "turbo" function and a "cool shot", both operated on the same rocker switch, which both work very well.
Whilst the handle is pretty ergonomic in its design, the sliding buttons to adjust heat and speed are fairly stiff at first and a bit fiddly to operate with your thumb mid-dry. Also, the highest heat setting seems to be scalp-scalding and I can't imagine using it without it causing considerable pain!
But all in all it thoroughly deserves the 5*s I've given it as it seems to be efficient. I hope it lasts longer in my house than its predecessor!
Some of the reviews mentioned the awkward controls, but I had no idea that the position of the slider switches (more on that later) made using the thing impossible if one uses it to blow dry as I do and need to switch it off and on several times.
This is the second hair dryer I've had by Babyliss and never again. Who designs their products? Obviously not someone who uses a hair dryer it seems.
When blow drying and handling mousse, conditioners, etc fingers become sticky and slider switches are not a good idea (especially ones on the wrong side of the appliance).
I used to have a very expensive Parlux which lasted twenty years with daily use and it was brilliant. Since that died I've been through countless cheap ones and I've come to the conclusion that you definitely get what you pay for with hair dryers. It would have been cheaper in the long run to have bought another Parlux which I intend to do now.
Unfortunately, as the control button (sliding one) are on the back of the handle, it makes difficult to use, and I have to take it down every time I need to change the controll button.
The weight isn't heavy but the balance isn't good either. Also, controll buttons are not quite clear its functions.
This is not a bad product, but it's not quite user friendly.
