The revolutionary new BaByliss You Curl Curling Iron uses unique curling technology, which at last makes curling as easy as straightening. Combining ceramic heating plates with curved cooling plates, it heats, bends and cools hair to produce perfect curls in a single stroke. It's like magic ….and it is so simple and easy to use. Remember the curl starts from where you put the You Curl into the hair, so if you don’t want the curl right at the root, put the You Curl into the hair part way down the hair section. Simply slide the You Curl into the hair ensuring that the curved cooling plates are facing towards the head. Turn the You Curl through 180 degrees so that the curved cooling plates are now facing outwards. Then slowly glide the You Curl along the length of the hair to the ends.

When I first got these I tried them out straight away and just could not get them to work. To make matters worse, my hubby tried them out and got them to work instantly much to my annoyance. After about 30 mins with no results I was ready to throw them out so I gave up. However having come back today and tried them again I have completely changed my mind - they are great! Obviously I was using them wrong the first time but I seem to have gotten them working now. Hopefully here are some helpful tips.
1. Do not use them if you have just straightened your hair, you don't stand a chance of getting them to work.
2. Do not exert any extra pressure on the tongs, just press them together and let them do their thing, if you push down on them then you just end up with straight hair with a kink at the end.
3. Do not run them through the hair too quickly, they are not as fast as hair straighteners and take a couple of seconds longer on each lock of hair.
4. Finally do not try and cheat as you can with straighteners and use too thick a section because it does not work as well and ends up frizzy.
I have fairly fine, thick and very long hair and this method seems to work pretty well. It took me only 10 mins to do all of my hair whereas with normal tongs it usually takes me about an hour. My hair looks great, really shiny and healthy and no apparent damage. I am really happy and now I believe they were money well spent.

These tongs are great as curling tongs or as a set of straightners. Took a few attempts to get the curl right but by the fourth or fifth section of hair I had it cracked. They work just as well as straightners which means I can rid of my old set and have one tong doing both jobs. Stay cool ends are a real bonus and they heat up in seconds.
Only minus is the lack of a stand or a closed position lock on them, so I can safely leave them on a side when finished.

I bought this curler cos i've seen the results of curling with a straightner but struggled to do it by myself. I love the fact this product has a website dedicated to it, so you can watch the demo and do it at the same time. The other thing i like is the long cord, which was useful for me since my plug point was on one side of the room and mirror on the other! What i hate about curlers is that they can be so fiddly wrapping the hair under the 'spoon' and if you have layered hair, wisps of your hair escape which is so annoying. Also with other curlers it can tangle your hair a bit and once you have twirled it up you have to hold it there for a while!(i'm so impatient i know!) but with this one its just like using a straightner, its always on the move!
The only bad point would be there's no stand with it, so the 'jaws' of the product always stay open, so after a while it kills your hand!

What you see is what you get
The product does exactly what it says. I have curly hair and it takes a little bit longer to obtain the result, but it definitely works.

Takes Practice
I loved the idea of this product but it doesn't quite live up to the hype.

Your hair needs to be at least shoulder length for this product to work .It takes time to get uswed to .I suppose practice will make perfect.
