This book is ok, but the Fishpool book BTEC National for IT Practitioners: Core is a lot better it has better explanations and contains more information. This book feels rushed compared to the old book BTEC National for it Practitioners: General.

I use all these books and I would recommend that you buy the Fishpool book, it has better material and is cheaper, You should get a copy of the old book also it might not be as up to date but the information is still useful.

I am a L3 BTEC in IT student and i think this book is great for students who want to work independently, it covers all the units for the first year of the L3 course and i think thats great. you dont really have to depend much on online search results which most of the time you dont know if they can help. but this book covers more than 80% of information a first year BTEC IT student could be looking for and i strongly RECOMMEND IT.
