An ideal set of house phones should be ergonomic, well made, and well priced for what you get. The BT Verve range are none of these, and I could list many a problem;

Surprisingly compared to BT's cheaper phones, these feel like little childs toy's are they are constructed terribly, and even creak because the plastic is that cheap.

The buttons are too small and aren't very convincing when you press them. My thumb stretches over 2 buttons!

The supposed clear-colour screen is the equivalent to that of a tiny mobile phone's that cost you a tenner. What's the point in even having a silly Wallpaper option when it's not clear pixelated enough to gaze at? (If you'd even want a wallpaper for your phones screen in the first place!)

The base unit's does not hold the phones steady at all, and are easily knocked off - definitely no good if you have prying kiddies eyes... They just seem to almost hang on by two prongs, with no inner-dip.

Text on the screen is barely readable, thanks to the sheer narrowness of it. The phonebook isn't even worth bothering.

Very disappointed with this package - you could do a whole lot better and buy Panasonic's DECT home phones, which are far superior in terms of quality and practicality. I was silly to even think Red phones would look good in our house - they actually looked pretty tacky!

Battery loses charge. Reception poor. Cannot transfer phonebook between handsets. All in all very disappointing. It is a shame that one must give it a rating of 1 start, zero is more correct.
