I was dubious about buying these after having other poor quality BT products in the past and now regret that I made the decision - I'd give them zero out of five if that was possible!

Cons: Randomly some of the phones don't ring or will ring but then the buttons don't work so you can't pickup the call - taking the batteries in and out cures this problem so it's obviously some problem with the electronics locking up. The ring tones are not very good (think 2nd generation mobile phone tones) and definitely not very loud. When you have missed calls on the caller display each phone has to be reset individually. Caller ID operation seems to be a bit hit and miss. Screen quality poor (very small, poor resolution and overly colourful).

Pros: Look OK. Reasonable sized buttons. Copies phonebook to each phone easily. Easy siting - no need to plug each phone into a phone socket - just needs to be plugged into mains socket. Can access the answer phone from any handset.

May 2012 - Couldn't cope with these phones anymore and ordered a set of Panasonic KX-TG8524EB DECT Quad Digital Cordless Phone Set with Answer Machine - Black - what a difference! Nice large display, excellent features and most importantly they work, which is always a bonus!

Great product - love the ability to use a sim card to read and write numbers to and from the phone.

Setting up is nothing like as easy as the meagre "plug in and go" instructions which come in the box would have you believe. You really have to download the whole 60-plus page PDF file from BT to find out out how to carry out anything but the basic operations. Once this is done, however, the two phones work very well and the handsets have a nice feel to them.

No problems with these phones and very easy to set up and use. They replaced some old BT synergy phones I had had for many years. Only slight problem worth mentioning is that the screen gives out an incredible amount of light in a dark room which may be a good thing for some but as one is on my husband's bedside table he can't sleep unless he covers it with a sock!

Recently purchased BT Synergy Quad and fairly satisfied. However, first set had to be returned as one of the handsets was faulty. Amazon very quick to send replacement. Not all the handsets seem to work properly all of the time, but overall, nice equipment. Cannot always answer in-bound calls with certain of the handsets. Not sure why this is and it doesn't happen all of the time! Easy to use and set up. Manual does not come with the set, but easily downloaded from internet.

Pros:
Plenty of options. (My favourite is that I have chosen a ringtone to go with the number os someone that I know from the time of day whether he will be lucid or drunk as a skunk and talking a load of rubbish. I can therefore ignore the call)

Cons:
When you upload to the chip it stores everything even numbers that are already on the chip so if you then put the chip in a mobile, as I often do, you have multiple copies of the same number to scroll through.

I have had these phones for a while 18 months or so, and yes they are a good product, when they work!!!

NONE of them now work properly, 2 ring, but won't allow you to pick up the call, 1 doesn't even ring and seems not to comunicate with the base at all, despite not being all that far away, 1 works moderately well, providing you keep to short calls, at which point it beeps a low battery warning until it turns off!

The only real fault with the answer machine is it's inability to remember what day or date it is!!!!

Such a pity because the specs are good, and fully functioning they're good phones ............. but i've checked for solutions online and come across LOADS of people with the same reliability issues. Avoid!

My thanks to R Booth for recommending phones that actually let you answer a call!!

Purchased to replace a very old fax/ answer machine where the recordings of incoming messages were getting so poor we could not hear the detail. We found the BT synergy met all our needs. Much smaller and neater. Easy to use, holds a charge for a full working day off the charger.Easy to hear recording of messages. We've not yet uploaded our SIM cards but we have sent SMS messages.
