I was looking for a cheap, reliable, two-set phone to use for my home landline (without an anserwing machine as I use my telephone company's voice mail service) and have found this product to meet all of my desires. I can recommend it if you are looking for a 'no frills' cordless landline set.

This is the perfect telephone for someone who wants the basics.
The sound is very clear. It is very easy to set up.
The display is backlit but the LED's could be a bit clearer hence only the 4 stars. It's range is excellent, I have been up to 50 metres from the house & it still works fine.
All in all, damn good.

Purchased this for my 76 year old parents. They have never had a cordless phone so were nervous about using this. After one day they are completley sold and wonder how they managed without! Easy and simple to use. Would reccomend.

its a portable telephone. works as you would expect. you can make and receive telephone calls. the only thing that i am dissapointed about is that there is no speaker phone on it.

It beeps every time you put the handset back on the base.
As said by another reviewer, there is a 2-tone beep from the handset every time you put the handset back in the base unit, which can be rather annoying. Read more

Annoying - and possibly a Health and safety hazard
The base unit has a very annoying 2 note alarm that gos off every time you replace the handset. This means I can't make calls and replace the handset after the children have gone... Read more
