The BT Edge 1500 is an affordable yet stylish digital cordless addition to the extensive range of BT cordless DECT phones. Boasting an attractive colour screen and handy digital answer machine, this telephone will look the part in even the most sophisticated of environments. The matching base station compliments the design of the handset and includes a handy control panel
The BT Edge 1500 has a integrated digital answering machine that records for up to 27 minutes and is fully operable through either the handset or the base station. With its 27 minute digital recording time this phone has a ample capacity for storing voicemail messages of missed calls. Messages can be played back on the base station or the handset and can also be remotely retrieved from an external phone using the remote playback feature if required. The base station also includes a message indicator that displays when new messages are left.
The BT Edge 1500 delivers up to 14 hours of talktime and upto 100 hours of standby time, per battery charge, making it a perfect choice in the home for hours of leisurely chatting. The handset can also be used to chat in hands-free mode via the Handsfree feature.
The BT Edge 1500 can be personalised with 10 polyphonic ringtones or 5 standard ringtones, is type II caller ID compatible with a calls list and redial list and boasts a large 200 name and number phonebook.
This phone includes many other useful features including: call transfer, conference call feature, secrecy function, 50 last number call list, call waiting indicator, low battery indicator, ear piece volume control, out of range indicator and remote access feature.

....this is my first ever DECT phone after years of being 'corded'. I must say - after the initial setting up and charging it works like a charm.Extremely easy to put in all your names and numbers...different ring tones for individual callers if you want. Answerphone all ready to go....Works all over the house and in the garden with good reception/signal - absolutely no dropout.

Phone is easy to use and looks good. It does all the things we wanted. The only disappointment to date is the volume - even at its highest level it is difficult to hear the person on the other end of the line. Given that we are both in our mid 20s (and don't have any trouble with our hearing!), neither are we speaking to anyone who is known to be particularly quiet, we can only assume it's the phone given that the line was fine before!

It works, just fine, good value. Not too small and pokey so you can ring a number without hitting 3 wrong keys and getting the wrong number.
