The BT Verve 450 PLUS single pack is an attractive, high specification, fully digital DECT phone combining assertive, stylish design and excellent telephone features with a built in digital answering machine, also boasting a 4 line inverse backlit display and a gloss back finish. It is compatible with ordinary telephone lines or even an analogue extension on a telephone system, making it ideal for the home or office. For anyone wanting extra handsets the BT Verve 450 PLUS is also available in a twin, trio, and even a quad pack.
The BT Verve 450 PLUS has an integrated digital answering machine that records for up to 30 minutes and is fully operable through either the handset or the base station. With its 30 minute digital recording time this phone has a huge capacity for storing voicemail messages of incoming calls. Messages can be played back on the base station or the handset and can be remotely retrieved from an external phone using the remote playback feature. The base station includes a message indicator that displays when new messages are left. The answer machine also features 2 outgoing messages, recordable outgoing messages, answer delay, time saver and call screening.
The BT Verve 450 PLUS is more energy efficient than many comparable cordless phones and delivers up to 10 hours of talktime/100 hours of standby time, per battery charge, making it a perfect choice in the home for hours of leisurely chatting, or in the workplace for reliable, frequent operation. The handset can be used to chat in hands-free mode via the superb BT speakerphone with exceptional sound quality and enhanced voice clarity.
The phone itself can send and receive text messages and includes a flashing light on the base, message icon on the handset display and an alert tone to indicate that a new text message has been received.
Whether it is looking through the 200 name and number directory or seeing the caller display, the large 4 line inverse backlit display allows you to read its information very clearly. The handsets have a handsfree speaker and it is even possible to change the phones incoming ring tones as well. The BT Verve 450 PLUS is a DECT phone and therefore uses 120 dynamic channels providing a secure digital signal between handset and base station.

I bought a twin pack of these 2 years ago plus an additional handset. After initial charging problems, which seemed to fix themselves, they were excellent for about 6 months. However, longer term, the batteries no longer hold their charge and last long enough for a 10 minute phonecall and as soon as I switch to speaker phone the handset dies (again due to battery not holding it's charge). This is true of all three handsets, now looking for a better alternative.
I certainly don't want to be changing the betteries avery few months

Looks good but very poor sound quality, so bad that I had to get BT out as I thought it was my phone line, only to realise it was the phone! Don't purchase.

Bought one for myself - excellent value - easy to use - bought another for my son - answer phone messages come across nice a clear - digits large enough to see!! Would recommend.
