By Cheatin' Jockey TOP 1000 REVIEWER VINE™ VOICE
This phone is good quality and easy to program with a nice & clear backlit display. The speaker phone works well with good volume and voice pickup and the handset is large and rounded, though it does tend to slip out if you wedge it between your ear and shoulder like I do! I particularly like the 1571 light which illuminates if a message has been left - nice feature.

I haven't used the SIM card backup feature (tend to store the mobile phone itself rather than the SIM) or the text message or caller display - so I can't comment on those features. I can imagine caller display being useful in a house with teenagers as you can assign rings to different people if you subscribe.

One downer to note is the need for a power supply - the manual says you can't rely on it as an emergency phone but it does work without power, you just lose your phone book, speakerphone etc.

Hopeless 15 Jun 2006
I purchased this phone on the basis that it (a) had a handsfree capability and (b) was reasonably expensive and therefore, one would expect, to be of a reasonable quality.

Tha handsfree is unusable. One needs to be about 3 inches from the unit, and speaking well above a normal volume to alow the unit to pick up. Furthermore, the 4 highest of the 6 volume settings cause such bad distortion in the speaker to render the recieved voice inaudible. Distortion disapears on volume 1&2, but by then the level is unusably quiet.

Not happy.

This phone comes nearest to meeting my requirements and has given excellent service for two years. Recently my callers started complaining about the handsfree breaking up, confirmed in tests, so I can no longer use that psrticularly useful facility. I came upon these reviews when I was looking to buy a replacement and now am in somewhat of a dilemma!

Good, sensible phone that doesn't get lost.

What hands free?
I see others on here have the same problem - the phone is marketed and sold with a hands free feature and simply put, there isn't one. Read more

What a shame
Great idea, and what a lot of attractive features. Even looks nice out of the box. Set up the time fine, then tried to set up the ring tones. Read more
