Bought the BT Freestyle 750 Trio for my 90 year old mother who is quite up to date with technology but is partially sighted and hard of hearing.
*I set it up and found it reasonably straight forward.
*I particularly liked the ease by which you can add all the contact numbers to one handset and copy them to the others. Brilliant.
*Recorded messages are clear.
*Came with a comprehensive booklet on how to set it up
*Compact base station design
*Handset is a bit bulky
*Two small buttons on the side for last dialed numbers and last received numbers are in a stupid position, right where you hold the handset. This means that they can be pressed by accident with the consequence that the number brought up on the screen can be dialled by accident.
*Both should be on the front. Redial labeled 'R' and Last number received labeled 'L' - Simple.
*Ringing tones offered are horrendous
*Too may options offered. What is wrong with designing a product for hard of Hearing and partially sighted that is easy to operate and does not rely solely on being able to read the screen all the time.
Summary. OK as long as main user can see reasonably well. Needs to be simplified and design modifications made to make it more usable for those for whom it is intended.
