We had one before so knew they were good.
We wanted a phone that was powered by the phone line so it would still work in a power-cut.
Good clear buttons.
The ringer could do with being a bit louder but is still perfectly audible. May not be suitable for a large house.

I have been using this model of phone for some years and found it of excellent design.The new one was only bought to replace the handset which had unfortunately become damaged. I notice that some people are having trouble wall mounting the phone and the solution is quite simple although not immediately obvious from the packaging.The hanger on the base is actually reversible and has to be prised out and turned for wall use.This exposes a small tab onto which the handset hangs.If this is not done the handset will not stay in place resulting in the frustration some users were experiencing.

purchased the chalk white Bt Duet 20 Telephone for the bedroom. It looks okay with the decor and works fine. Cost wise. great. I am happy with it.

Very good value
I've found this phone very good value for a 'no frills' appliance. It can be wall fitted or just lie on my desk. Dialling from the handset is very convenient.

Neat little phone for the bedside table
Just perfect for the job, smart and easy to use. No problem having it freestanding on table top which is what I wanted it for, there's enough weight to it to stay put. Read more

Would recommend this phone.
A cheap and efficient little phone, just what I wanted a basic phone for the bedroom. Simple to install with wall hangings, does the job perfectly.

wall hung telephone
Irritatingly, this product would not hang in vertical position - so totally useless. The only positive was that return and refund was painless.
