The BT Decor 2200 corded telephone is the replacement for the BT Decor 1200 and is ideal for the home or small office. The BT Decor 2200 is affordable, easy to use and attractive and would be a great option for any design conscious corded phone buyer. It is fitted with an inductive coupler so it is hearing aid compatible and has various integrated feature buttons.
Other features with this product include recyclable packaging, type 1 caller display functionality, 3 line display with contrast control, 3 standard ringtones, ringer volume control with 'off', visual ring indicator, handsfree with volume control, secrecy feature, call timer, clock and calender. This product is also PBX compatible with PBX access code and does not require a PSU.

The telephone is very neat to look at. Large numbers and easy to see features. the caller display is clear but no back light as advertised. Easy to add numbers on the directory and find them.. Handsfree quite clear and adjustable. One of the drawbacks is the incoming calls are shown as calls 1-2 etc on the display which I am unable to get rid of.The 1571 feature is good and useful as this flashes to let you know there is a message waiting. There is a red light that flashes when there is an incoming call. Unfortunately the phone downstairs will not stop ringing if incoming calls are answered on this one. May be a fault on my line but it is rather annoying. Good value but I have yet to see if the phone lasts very long!! some BT phones tend to start going wrong after a while (may be my bad luck).

I have just bought this phone from another shop and while I do like the phone, I don't like some of its features or rather lack of. Incoming calls can be quiet and you cannot adjust the volume for the handset/earpiece, you can on 'hands free,' which is great if you're making calls to your family/friends, but if you need to discuss a private matter it is a pain.
The ringer volume is awful! On the highest setting I can just about hear it in the next room, I have thin walls/doors so to have trouble hearing my phone when I can hear my neighbours shows how quiet this phone is.
On the positive side, the hands free feature works a treat, previous phones always seem crackly or have poor sound for both sides (caller/receiver) but this is really good! You don't stand there shouting like Dom Joly going "HELLO? YES! I'M ON THE PHONE! YES HANDS FREE!" :-)
The display isn't the greatest either, but it is clear enough for me, but with the phone having large buttons the display perhaps should have been clearer. The product picture shows a sticker of the display, which seems nice and bold, but in reality it is paler and less defined than that.

We are very happy with this product. It has many easy to use features including a keypad with larger push buttons.
The stand is sturdy and raises it to a nice angle so its not flat. A much better telephone than we have previously had from BT!

Telephone.
A very quitet ringing tone, being a bit deaf it is very hard to know if its ringing. Not good at keeping numbers of friends infact given up trying.So on the whole a poor product.

I think that the description of this phone is misleading. It gives the impression that you can use it to send text messages, but in fact it doesn't have that facility. Read more
