I got mine off Ebay for £46, it came with some labels and software on disc.
I am running OS X 10.5 on an Intel iMac and found the software that came with it for Mac very basic it was version 3.2. However if you check the Brother website you can now get P-Touch Editor Version 5 for the Mac and it is alot better and Free!
You get a message about needing Java 1.3 or something but just ignore it, if you already have Java 1.5 on your mac just click on button to 'use 1.5' and it works fine.
I have been enjoying making little address labels I got the standard size with the printer and it came with CD labels and 2 other size of labels complete with the rolls.
They are really easy to slot in and it prints one off superfast, so great for home user who only wants one label at a time rather than hundreds of the same.
It does also do continuous printing, if you do want several of the same label.
I dont know what the Windows software is like, but if you are a Mac user looking for a good little label printer I would recommend you look for one of these on ebay and then download version 5 of P-Touch Editor and latest driver.
Good value if you can get the Special Edition pack with free labels as well.
