Superb quality Red plastic tipping load area and Green plastic end sections. Each end section is firmly fixed to the solid wood base; painted with quality black gloss. Securely attached wheels move effortlessly along the track. Both magnets are firmly fixed and strong enough to pull a line of rolling stock over a bridge. The tipping action swings right over easily either side, remaining stable when fully laden.
Four stars for durability. I feel a vulnerability over time due to tiny pieces of plastic which go through each green end section, for the tipping motion. I may well be proved wrong, time will tell... I HAVE BEEN!... *** A year of play later and like new! I've changed durability to 5 stars but this doesn't show *** External Measurements including magnets and wheels approx:- Length 6.5cm Width 3cm Height just under 3.5cm My daughter takes great delight loading, relocating and tipping out a variety of little treasures. A much needed addition to her existing rail stock as this allows her to interact; more stimulating than her earlier solid wood carriages. While enjoying her play I observe she is rationalising, problem solving, decision making, using fine motor skills and fine tuning hand eye co ordination. Absolutely superb purchase!

I picked this up at Tuesday Morning for 2.00. I was more than pleased with the quality of the toy. My son loves to dump marbles or Brio men out of it. It is mostly plastic but the bottom is wooden.
Overall our Brio toys have held up to a beating and still look brand new. They are worth the money.

Is a nice moving stock with a tipable wagon. It could be improved with more wood parts but it is what it is and worth buying if the price is right. There is a brio destination that makes use of this wagon for moving boulders. Of course it could be used for anything imaginable small enough to fit. The wagon is small and lightweight.
