Product Description

Product Description

The Mighty Green action locomotive is a battery-powered engine full of great features. This plastic engine is bigger than most BRIO trains at approximately 13 cm long and has eight wheels for super power. A switch on the top allows the engine to be used in both free wheel and battery-powered play. There are three buttons on the top; the first activates reverse motion, bell, reverse sound and rear flashing light; the second stops everything and the third activates forward motion, headlights and authentic steam engine sound. It has magnetic coupling for pulling trucks and coaches and rubber grips on the wheels for extra pulling strength. Recommended for aged three and up. Requires two AAA, 1.5v Batteries (not included).

BRIO created the first wooden railway in 1958. Since then they've built up the world's largest range of wooden railway items and many other educational and learning toys.

BRIO's mission is to contribute to a child's development by offering good toys that stimulate the mind through play. Thanks to in-depth expertise, BRIO develops toys that always generate joy, while satisfying the child's needs in various phases of development. BRIO is a reliable ‘partner' for parents.

BRIO pays attention to every detail through the design process and has always been dedicated to creating products that add extra play value, encourage learning and develop fine motor skills.

Product Description

Don't stand in the way of the Mighty Green, it's just as powerful as the classic Mighty Red! This eight-wheeled battery-powered engine, features a new auto stop and start function. The 3 chimney-shaped buttons activate forward and backward motion, two hea

Lean Green Machine... 19 April 2006

Durability:    Educational:    Fun:
Only cosmetically different from the Mighty Red Loco but still much better than the other battery-operated engine (which came with our first starter set). That had a fiddly switch at the top whereas this has simple big buttons for forward, reverse and stop (much better for our two year old!). It even has a switch to change into push-along mode and has little trouble coping with slopes and longer trains (unlike UK rail companies my daughter likes nothing better than to load on the carriages!). Be aware you'll need two (AAA) batteries but this just makes it stronger and last longer.

Best little loco 17 Jan 2011
By Gillzoi
Durability:    Educational:    Fun:
After considering the remote controlled trains & reading other reviews we decided to buy this loco for our 3 year old grandaughter to add to her Brio trainset that we keep here, for when she visits (the set used to be her father's). It seems a perfect addition, hard wearing for a 'sometimes heavy handed littlie', as was the (recording voice) station that we purchased last year for the set. These items have added a new dimention to an old favourite and I think there are many more years of enjoyment left in them still.

Good train, they can be broken and don't handle tight curves or steep climbs too well but they are fun to watch.
