Product Description

Product Description

Take this timeless ant for a walk, and watch the egg on its back twirl around as you go.

BRIO pays attention to every detail through the design process and has always been dedicated to creating products that add extra play value, encourage learning and develop fine motor skills.

Product Description

BRIO Pull-along Ant with Egg. When the Ant is taken for a walk the tail and antennae wobble animatedly on springs. And, uniquely, the non marking rubber tyres cause the egg to roll, intriguingly, end over end. All of these features are designed to create the benefit that the toddler is entertained whilst unconsciously learning to balance and walk unaided. (age 19 months +)

Excell'ant' 16 Nov 2011

This is one of the best toys we were ever given. My 18-month old twins take it in turns to demonstrate it to every visitor we have. All Brio toys are brilliant and very solidly made, and have that little something extra - the ant's egg turns over as it is pulled along, which the children find highly entertaining and keep turning round to watch it as they pull - they're learning to walk backwards too! They're so proud that they've made it do that. They much prefer the ant to their other pull-along toys, as the egg creates an extra interest. I'd also recommend Brio's pullalong duck, which we bought for our neighbour, as it quacks, waggles its head and wings.

I guess all kids are different. My first grandson loved this. I bought it for him when he was 10 months old and he used to loved chasing the egg across the floor on all fours - it kept him happy for hours and really helped him develop his hand to eye co-ordination. When he got older he enjoyed pulling ant along behind him - we even took ant on holiday to Spain. Now his younger brother loves the toy too, especially the springy antennae. I love the 50s retro styling, and would definitely buy one again.

i bought this pull along toy for my son and the design is lovely. however the pieces are not secure ( particularly little antenna balls) and for this reason i would not recommend this toy. hopefully the manufacturer will improve the safety of it for small children in the future.
