It was a real delight to watch the joy appear as the parcel emerged from the wrapping and the contents were spilled for all to see. I just received these as a gift today and they look really smart. The blocks are nice wood and seem to be dyed, or stained, rather than painted so I expect they should stay looking good for a very long time with no chipping. My baby is only 8 months old but she has shown interest in knocking down daddy's constructions already!

Brio and Duplo are in big time!
The blocks are very well made. The are cut precisely so that your child can practice fine hand movements putting them on top of each other. Many hours spent already. In the beginning only to tear down what we built, but after a couple of weeks our child now constructs simple towers.

nearly 2 year olds love this - it does descend in to flying pieces of wood after a while, but before that happens they have a great time!

Brio blocks
The blocks are simple, subtly colored, and smooth. They are not the usual highly distractible toy. They are excellent for toddlers and preschoolers.

A set of sturdy wooden blocks stained in tasteful greens and blues. Just perfect for a small child who likes building things. My son likes them nearly as much as I do!
