I didn't really expect a Canon part at this price but neither did I see the word 'replacement' or 'equivalent' in the description. I noted the 3 good reports. I put it into my Canon PowerShot G2 which has been working fine with previous battery. The charging indicator behaves normally, winks yellow while charging, then reaches solid green indicating charged. After charger disconnection I can take about 2 pictures prior to the battery dying. This battery is very cheap compared to the genuine article. On first charge, it seemed to be ready very quickly, and it was only a few weeks later, having taken some 20 or so photos, that I found that it had not held its charge for long. Second time around I charged it up, unplugged the charger, plugged it back in almost immediately and it took another 20 minutes before the charger said it was charged. I repeated the process twice more, and the last time it seemd to be fully charged. So far it has lasted a week and I have taken 5 photos, three with flash. It is currently indicating a full charge, so lets hope that it carries on doing so.
If it does then, it will be a great bargain.

Although not a branded Canon battery, this lives up to expectations. It holds a charge for ages if the camera is used only occasionally and performs well with heavy use over a week or so. So far, it is as good as the original Canon battery which came with my G3 in 2003.

great replacement / spare battery
Battery is plain and unbadged as shown in photo (ie non-Canon branded), but works just as well as the real thing at a fractio of the cost - Highly recommended.

Camcorder battery
Very good value for money. We could have spent a lot more on a similar product.
