Got these connected via a Creative X-Fi sound card on my HTPC, and the quality of the sound it outputs is truly amazing. It is clear, powerful and and will bring music and movies to life. True. Set up is simple. The subwoofer has a bass compensation control should you wish to invert the subwoofer. This is so that the bass is outputted from the rear of the box instead of the front. A digital processing unit sorts out the frequencies and sends the high and midrange to the satellite speakers, whilst the sub handles the bass. And what a bass!. There is NO distortion at all from any of the speakers, and if you're prepared to go full volume, you may need to leave the room. A volume control switch is made from a beautifully crafted piece of metal, which features a touch mute switch, rotary volume control, headphone jack and i-Pod input. Bose do not publish power outputs, but this system will make some home hi-fi's sound feeble.
Okay, this set is not cheap, in fact it is blooming expensive!. But if you can just afford it, it will be money well spent. It will transform your PC or laptop, iPod or mobile 'phone into a sound system like nothing else. You won't believe your ears when you hear the quality of the sound.
