5.0 out of 5 stars This Left Sounds Right Too! 25 Oct 2003
Format:Audio CD
Hi,
I'm happy to be the first reviewer (I hope) of Bon Jovi's brand new greatest hits collection. Titled "This Left Feels Right" due to the fact they are taking a side step in order to redo some of their classic hits with a twist.
I first heard of the new CD from a friend who's in the 'Backstage With Bon Jovi' fan club. The moment I got the name of the CD I rushed out and bought it from a friend in the far east.
I'd like to say this album is awesome! Before I even start the review drop everything and go buy it now!
Don't worry, TLFR is not just another Crossroads, infact it's nothing like a sequel to the best selling 1994 greatest hits collection. The aim of TLFR was to rework each song by going back to its element and re-engineering the whole thing, but of course still keeping the familiar Bon Jovi sound we all know and love :)
Every song has been redone and polished up and may I say, each one sounds absolutely brilliant. Kudos to Jon & co. for such brilliant sound quality! I was a bit dissapointed when the final release did not include the two new songs, "Last Man Standing" and "Thief Of Hearts". These were on the set list for all those of you who, like myself, follow the news section on the band's website. I assume these new tracks will be on the box set released next year to coinside with the ban's first album, "Bon Jovi"s 20th anniversary. Can't wait !
The best tracks on TLFR are probably Keep The Faith, It's My Life and of course the classic, Always :) I really love Jon's duet with Olivia d'Abo on Livin' on a Prayer. She has such a beautiful voice which compliments Jon's perfectly. One Bon Jovi song I was never too keen on (until now that is) was Everyday but after hearing the new version on TLFR I'm hooked!
Every song has been redone with the upmost quality, and everything sounds great. I can't reccomend you buy this album enough, it really is brilliant.
Have fun, enjoy the music, and welcome back Bon Jovi!
James,
6/5 :)

5.0 out of 5 stars Blown Away 31 Oct 2003
By Tig
Format:Audio CD
I have always liked Bon Jovi's music, but this is the best album I have ever heard, they have taken songs that were very good and I mean very good and turned them into pure musical poetry. Can't say more than that.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant! 6 Nov 2003
By A Customer
Format:Audio CD
This album is uncomparable to his others, he's taken his best songs and reworked them into easy listening, ballad type tracks. If you're a bit skeptical about buying it, listen to it first, once you've heard them you'll buy it :p Gets my vote anyway,
ciaou peeps

2.0 out of 5 stars hmm.... not their best 5 Nov 2003
Format:Audio CD
Well I have all the Bon Jovi albums and was looking forward to this album. However it is not great! Its just the old classics seriously slowed up with all the rock squeezed out. Not a Bon Jovi Sound at all. I would tell any Bon Jovi fan to get it and make their own opinion, just dont expect to be blown off your feet with amazement. Look forward to the next album with new ROCK songs and the usual amazing ballads mixed in.... do it soon BJ!

5.0 out of 5 stars Bon Jovi Still Rocking 11 Nov 2003
By Alex
Format:Audio CD
Bon Jovi really go for it with this album of totally reworked classics. It's worth it just to hear a female voice - yes, female - on one of their MOST famous tracks. Hmm... This is a must for anybody who has ever even vaguely listened to the New Jersey rockers; there is really no way to say it other than this is an epiphany for them. As they say, this is the end of the beginning, and with this they are opening a whole new chapter.
Buy it now!!!!!!!!

1.0 out of 5 stars Quick plug it back in!! We're losing power!!!! 7 Nov 2003
Format:Audio CD
I have supported every single piece of work to come from Bon Jovi since it all started, but this thing has got to go. I realize that since I've heard these tracks done in more or less the same way for years, I might not be as open-minded to all of this as others might be and for that..... I am truly blessed. I mean I found myself 'happy' to find the Backstreet Boys on the radio after cutting off this catstrophe about two seconds into Bad Medicine. Please you guys, lets forget this ever happened.
