I love Bodum. Classy minimalism for a relatively low price and readily available. This is their classic double walled glass, which appears to be the same as Bodum Pavina 12-Ounce Double-Wall Thermo Cooler/Beer Glass, Set of 2 and does not disappoint. If you are familiar with Bodum glass products, you know that the borosilicate glass is extremely delicate, and although it is approved for dishwasher or microwave use, I would do neither. So my review is primarily for the tea strainer: I think their glasses are fantastic if treated with care.
I've used this product twice now with Dao Ren green tea, which is a bit of a thicker leaf. The holes on the bottom of the strainer are extremely small and punched up, from underneath, so the tea leaves cannot collect in the indentations. The only particles that escaped are EXTREMELY fine - it's really more of a sediment that collects on the bottom of the glass and does not affect the tea itself. The strainer is easy to clean - simply rinse it out and set it in the dish rack.
The only thing that surprised me is that I expected a lip on the underside of the strainer itself - so it would sit securely on the glass. There is none, so the lid/strainer can slide around slightly. This isn't a bad thing, and thinking about it now, it's probably to prevent the strainer from being used with this glass only. I imagine it would work with nearly any standard size mug. If you typically brew single glasses of tea I would definitely recommend this product.
