Having previously had a cheap mower from Homebase with a poor quality Briggs and Stratton Engine, this BMC is in a completely different league.
It's well designed, very robust and the Wolf 4.5HP engine didn't miss a beat cutting through foot high grass. It's quieter than my old mower too. The height adjustment controls all four wheels, the basket stays in place and there are quick release mechanisms for folding down the handle for easy storage. It has a solid steel base.
The engine has a manual choke and idle setting and an oil drain plug, so you can change the oil easily (the last machine didn't.)The only minor niggle is the black dip stick, which means it isn't that easy to see the oil level, especially when you have just topped up the oil, which gives a false reading for a few minutes until the oil has settled.
The machine arrived really quickly from UKHS virtually fully constructed.
