I'm a nurse and I bought this for my daughter who is a student nurse, she was struggling to remember different types of drugs and their side effects. More useful than the BNF because it actually describes how the drugs act, why they have the effects that they do, and groups them in a way which makes learning them more sensible. Wish I'd had this when I was training!

The same size as the previous edition BUT they've taken out the useless photographs of different tablets and replaced it with text.
Essential for any student of nursing, pharmacy, medicine or allied professions and still readable by the general public.

Very pleased with this book. Lots of information on the use and prescription of various drugs. In particular you realise how a drug may be multi-purpose, interact and not always be suitable depending on circumstances. The book can be used for reference or as a general educational book. The text is good and clear. My only concern is over a lot of the diagrams which are similar and almost formulaic.
