This book is OK but I'm not keen on the way it's set out. It takes you through various options for symptoms but seems to say 'ring doctor' quite a bit. I think they have obviously to be careful, but it's a bit on the scaremonger side.

I bought this book to provide a basic guide to symptoms of illnesses and it has proved to be invaluable. As is the case with other Dorling Kindersley publications all the information is laid out in an easy to read way with full colour photos and diagrams. Could perhaps provide more detail on the illnesses but I guess you would have to purchase a more weighty manual to have that. As it is this is a light and easy to flick through book and I very much recommend it to others.
