I bought this accessory as a Christmas present for my daughter. Although these things are straightforward some written instruction for how to attach it to the camera would have been useful. Despite saying it is compatible with the model my daughter owns it was not easy to attach. We had to enlarge the metal ring openings to attach them to the camera and then push them back together, however on one occasion one came loose from the camera on one side but thankfully she had hold of the camera at the time or that would have been nearly £1000 worth of equipment falling to the ground. We have now closed the rings tightly with pincers but all this has been very fiddly and shouldn't be neccessary if the strap had come with lobster or aligator clasps instead of tiny metal rings. All in all it was a false economy and I will be buying the genuine Canon strap as soon as possible to replace this.
