This set makes poaching eggs easy. Not as nice as doing it the proper way, but if you want to make a few and have other things to do as well, it's useful to be able to let this work by itself while you cook or do something else.

One big problem is the egg tends to stick to the sides of the cups quite easily, leaving a thin residue that's hard to wash off. This problem can be solved by coating the cups with olive oil before putting the eggs in.

My daughter asked recently, "What's poached eggs like Dad?"
We tried to do some using a makeshift pot. It actually turned out fine, but the result was "I love poached eggs!".
So I decided to buy a proper poacher. This fitted the bill perfectly. The handle isn't metal and the containers are fine. The pan itself is non stick too. Smearing a drop of butter in aech container makes it easy to scoop the eggs out.
End result... A very happy daughter, and we now all choose to have poached eggs above any other.
Great product!

It was delivered on time.

The description is entirely accurate. It is a non stick 4 cup poacher in black. I had no problem with eggs sticking. I little rub around with butter before adding the egg is all these pans need.
