Product Description

Product Description

An action packed romantic adventure! Strictly for the money, conservative Raquel Mason agrees to pose as Jackie Dawson for one night. But fate has much more in store when "Jackie" is kidnapped and taken to her home country of Belize. Striking Nate Bowman appears to be running the criminal show, but there are some things about him Raquel just can't figure out. Like how he insists on protecting her at all costs, and why there is an attraction between them that won't be denied. From a Mayan bloodletting ceremony to sexual energy being harnessed as spiritual power by an ancient tribe....You'll be out of breath for more reasons than one with BEGUILED!

3.0 out of 5 stars Not bad, if you can get past the silly stuff. 6 July 1998
By A Customer
Format:Paperback
I gotta tell you, if I'd lost my job and was wondering what I'd do to pay the bills... well, dancing is not where I'd go.
Actually, once you get past that (and it takes a while) the fantasy of the handsome, protective man was not at all bad. Snoe does draw an exotic world for us. But, I have to complain that whenever her plot grows thin, she results to magic. Deus ex machina? Give us a break!

5.0 out of 5 stars Enchanting! 5 April 1998
By A Customer
Format:Paperback
I was so entranced by 'Beguiled' that I decided that I just had to share it with everyone else. Unfortunately, the first person I lent it to loved it more than I did... she kept it!
'Beguiled' stands out within its genre because of its exotic location, its wonderfully drawn characters, (especially its secondary characters), its refreshing plot and its originality. As a West Indian, I can relate to the cultural and geographical details, which are superb, and its melding of the spiritual and the sensuous was breathtaking. It's well worth buying!

2.0 out of 5 stars Not for me... 16 Mar 2005
By BMAR - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Mass Market Paperback
"Beguiled" tells the story of Raquel who loses her job and decides to go dancing at a Miami nightclub ?!? I guess she wants to dance her troubles away. Instead she ends up being swept into a totally unrealistic adventure that drifts from the Caribbean to Central America. This story includes Snoe's trademark foray into otherworldly, magical scenarios. All in all just not my cup of tea...

5.0 out of 5 stars Loved it!! 2 Mar 1999
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
I liked this book. The fact that the action does not center around a major industrial city makes you know the characters more intimately. The characters were well written. They are not stick figures but real human beings with flaws. I recommend this book, not only for the plot but for the beautiful and colorful descriptions of the people and places.
5.0 out of 5 stars Beguiled - Addictive - Roller Coaster - Steamy Hot! 12 Feb 2014

Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Okay, so Beguiled was my favorite book when I read it years ago. Recently I bought the Kindle version just to have it. So, one day I want to read something, my Kindle is handy and there's no internet where I am. Luckily I've already downloaded Beguiled. Started reading it and OMG, I can't put it down! Its so fast paced, unexpected twists and turns. Then there's the sexual tension and then the love scenes... I mean, I had to put down the book and go look for my husband! Loving this book all over again! Exotic, tantalizing, danger for days and just when you take a shaky breath of relief, off you go on another wild ride fraught with danger. Not to mention the dark and dangerous, sensitive, strong, mysterious male protagonist, Nate Bowman. Is he a good guy or a bad guy? Is he a good guy turned bad against his will? Or a bad guy turned good? And Racquel, talk about not trusting strangers!!! Now her life is not only in danger, she may be dealing with the occult, ancient rituals and who knows what else! Okay I can't write anymore becuase I have to get back to reading the book!.
