My husband loves this charcoal starter, it now takes 10 min to have red hot charcoal vs 25min without it. I'm buying another one for my parents in law.Only reason I'm not giving 4 stars is because the black paint came off with the heat on the first use (which doesn't really matter but still, they should have thought about it).

I would not say that I am the worst BBQ starter in the country, but I am a leading contender for the title.
This little gadget has changed all that, it really does need only one sheet of newspaper to produce charcoal ready for cooking in about 30 mins.
No fire lighters, no gel, no smell. Brilliant.
So far everybody who has seen it in use, has asked where I bought it.
Thoroughly recomended.

A simple product that saves a lot of time and effort. No fluids/gels/starters required - other than some old newspaper. Gets a good batch of coals going in about 10 minutes. You can then tip them into your grill and cook on these pretty much straight away, or add more coals as needed. Because it's so quick to work, it's easy to just pop the grill off your BBQ and fill up with another batch, saving charcoal, time and energy. I prefer wood charcoal, but it'll take briquettes no problem. If you're into grilling in any form I recommend it. And if it's good enough for Bobby Flay, it's good enough for me!

Chimney charcoal starter
Purchased this instead of the Weber version. Does what it is supposed to, how long it will last is something else.
