I originally bought this with the intention of taking my 60lb uppercut bag up and down when guests use the spare room, it seemed like a good compromise as they do take up a lot of space. However in reality once you have hung the bag up its quite a lot of hassle to take it down, especially if you dont have all the tools handy so mine just stays up 24/7 - just removing the bag would give people enough room as the brackets well above head height anyway even for a 6 footer.
The constructions pretty solid although as someone pointed out the wall bolts are not really strong enough, I ended up getting 4 from B&Q about twice the length along with a decent drill bit (dont use cheap masonary bits they are spectacular when they inevitably shatter at 500 rpm)
Theres a major drawback no one has mentioned yet, I give my bag hell, its not high enough mounted for uppercut height so instead its angled just about where you bury hooks to the ribs or knees to solar plexus etc so it get a lot of jolting abuse both vertically and horozantally. This causes the bracket to become loose at the joints and squeak horribly due to so many loose joints. When I say loose they are very wrist tight but this is still hugely inferior to a welded joint when it comes to movement under high loads. I ended up stripping mine down and cutting square sections from a leather belt and making leather washers to dull the movement (which actually works very well) although it still squeaks and a fair bit of movement left and right. This might seem a niggly point but when your smacking the bag for 5 x 3 min rounds every night the squeaking and general noise from the thing is very irritating not just for yourself but the whole household.
Overall a very decently priced bracket that will hold a good weight bag, however make sure your 100% sure you need a folding bracket, if I could choose again I would go for a single solid welded design - with the bag removed you can tolorate the extended bracket in my opinion without having to lay it flat unless theres a real need. As usual the service was top quality from Amazon.
