Definitive guide to the 2011 BBC Proms season. My only quibble would be the lack of a booking form this year - booking is only by phone or internet (or in person) this year.
Each concert has a brief summary describing the programme, and there are longer articles about special concerts such as the rare performance of Havergal Brian's Gothic Symphony, the series of Brahms concerts, the performance of William Tell (in French) etc.
This book is required reading for any aspiring Promenader!

BBC Proms is a great addition to the Summer and it is great to be able to plan what you are going to watch.
The BBC guide is very easy to use and very informative. I buy it every year.

For anyone who follows and is interested in the Proms this is a 'must have'. One or two minor reservations: it contains an amazing body of info, some of which may be of lesser interest, and then there are the ads adding to the bulk AND all this means that they tend to put the price up with each annual edition. But I still wouldn't be without it for the programming detail alone.
