Product Description

Once described as a 'peculiar British oddity' and of 'not being able to carry a matchbox across a football field - let alone carry an effective warload', the ubiquitous 'Harrier' has developed into one of the most recognisable and effective aircraft of the last four decades. This book looks at the development of the aircraft and its war roles.

Hello. i have been fortunate to collect all the previous data file editions, but iam sad to say from a modellers point of view it is just another harrier book with 2 or 3 models built.
There is no real kit list or available conversions no sketched line drawings showing lumps or different bumps, it might not seem much but it was nice just to see minor changes in this format which has not been included since the meteor edition.
THIS is a shame really as mr Evans has put time and effort into this title as he did with the sea harrier edition and it is full of lovely photos and very informative.
Personally from a modellers point of view for which i believe the first titles were intended it has lost its way and probably why its no longer titled a modellers guide but a comprehensive one.

This is a very comprehensive book on the Harrier in RAF service. Aimed at the modeller, it is a visual treat of close up and in action pictures of the VTOL jets in all their guises. The close ups are particularly helpful for modelling as they answer questions about the aircraft during the build.

A great source of information, this is a great book and reference for Harrier fans.
