Comes with very shoddy plastic tools which just break when you try to use them. Had to use a mini screwdriver instead. Comes with no instructions but followed a youtube video but iPod still doesn't work. Disappointed.
I bought my ipod video back in 2005 and even though the battery life was never that great to begin with, over the last 5 months or so the battery just wouldnt hold a charge and would die after about 30 minutes of use, making it virtually unuseable. I thought about replacing the battery and I had no idea how cheap and easy it would be to replace. I have been using the ipod for about an hour so far since i installed the new battery and it has only gone down the tiny-est amount!!! It has worked fantastically well, better than expected. The only thing was that I had to look on youtube for how to change the battery, it doesnt come with instructions, but its straight forward enough anyway. Would definantly reccommend this product and i wish i knew about it sooner!!!!
This is a good product and does give extended battery life over the original, and at a fraction of the price of the Apple service.
My only gripe is that my battery came without instructions. Luckily I did have instructions from a previous change of battery.
The tools I find too flimsy but use of a small screwdriver and patience works just as well.
