Be aware. It intentionally doesn't come with all the parts. 28 Jan. 2013
By M. Peoples - Published on Amazon.com
Durability:    Educational:    Fun:
I was given this Kit for Christmas 2012 as my family likes to race slot cars. We thought it would be a fun kit to build.
When you open it, you'll find that in the sealed bag with the Chromed Parts Tree, that the four places the Wheels are supposed to be are empty. From the looks of it they have been broken off at the factory before being sealed into the poly bag.

I called and wrote "round2Models" (now AutoWorldStore) to complain. I received a reply confirming that they knew the Chrome Wheel parts are not in the kit, and then apologized for misconstruing the fact in the instructions and Box Art. And they couldn't offer a fix for the problem. They said and I quote from the e-mail "That kit does not come with the wheel inserts. The box states that they do which is a mistake. They do not fit properly if they were included. The car can be built without them. I am very sorry for the confusion." - Doug Ridge - AutoWorldStore.

So Be Aware, it doesn't come come with all the parts show in the Box Art or instructions. The actual wheels supplied are black plastic hollow things, which you would snap the rims into - if they came with the kit. As mentioned in the first review - the car body is cast in black plastic and is mediocre injection quality at best. In the end, you REALLY have to want to have a 1/32 Batmobile to fork out the money for this kit. If you're going to go through with the purchase, plan on cobbling together some wheels from another car that uses the same axle size. The car body has quite a long wheel base, so all the 1/32 Carrera's we own are too short as a platform substitute.

This kit is a great idea, but poorly executed.

Great for the Batmobile Fan but Not For the Inexperienced 13 Aug. 2012

Durability:    Educational:    Fun:
Like many Batmobile fans we were thrilled when the original 1/32 scale kit originally produced by Aurora when we were kids in the 1960s came to market through Polar Lights and pulled from the original molds. This slot car kit is pulled from those original molds and not the new ones that were created for the new 1/25th scale kit. I have yet to purchase that kit but will likely do so. The challenge with this slot car kit is that it is based on an unmodified 1/32 original Batmobile body from the Aurora molds and as such you have to use two sided tape to attach the body to the slot car chassis. I would say that for those of us with some experience this is probably a good kit to use as a starting point to build a better quality product. While there are slot car parts for the conversion their quality is not really up to the price charged based upon other slot cars from Carrera or other high quality brands. You can probably just acquire the 1/32 scale kit and purchase better quality slot car parts from your favorite hobby store or sight. However if you are just looking for a bit of fun and what something that is fully engineered and ready to build this is a good product, just be prepared for some work and time to get it to be what you want it to be.
