This unit has been fitted into our church's PA / Recording system to amplify the signal coming from the wandering radio microphone and also from the fixed pulpit microphone. It works very well - only drawback is that you cannot adjust the amplification but in most circumstances this adjustment can be made elsewhere (in the circuit after this pre-amp)!!
Good luck as you experiment with this delightful little unit.

I wanted a pre-amp to connect my turntable to my pc and to my sound system and this just fits the bill nicely. Delivery was prompt: the preamp wouldn't win a beauty contest, but it is rugged, well-built, and has no hum that I can detect. The only reason that I have given it 4 rather than 5 stars is that it is a little less powerful than I had hoped, so when I record my LPs using Amadeus, I need to turn up the computer record volume quite a way. But that may be my ignorance of pre-amps. They may be designed to reach only a certain amplification. Certainly the quality of the recording is as good as I hoped.

It is also handy that I can use it to pre-amp an old but good microphone.

Use it to connect my record player to my receiver. Had to bodge a ground cable to remove the hiss, but for the price it really is better than those 9V battery ones and does the job perfectly.

Excellent Piece of Kit - Value for Money

You only get what you pay for, and at the price this little pre-amp does the job perfectly without any frills. I was very surprised to find no noticeable background hum from the power-pack.

It worked well on both the input from my old (but hi-tec) cassette deck (line output to phono input) and from a selection of mics to stereo mic input - have not tried mono mic inputs yet).

Attractive, solid bit of equipment. Provides excellent pre-amp quality when recording lps from turntable to computer. Has no earth, but you connect the turntable earth to the computer chassis and all is well.

A simple solution that is inexpensive. For those with a vinyl library trapped in the case a turntable and an amp without A phono socket, this fills the bill

It humms. Loudly. It's completely useless which is disappointing. It looks well made and is compact but this counts for naught if it won't do the job. Waiting for a return lable to send it back.
