Dan Kennedy's materials are a gold mine. Dare I say more? Started implementing the ideas in the book and its beginning to yield results.

Very boring and no "wow" moment or boom advice, just simple common sense advice i know myself without reading such a book.

Cut and Paste Sections Ruin Book 31 Jan. 2012
By D. Bennett - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
I've read through about 1/2. Skimmed the other half. Seems much, maybe even most of Slutsky's material is just lifted directly from his Street Fighter Marketing Solutions book. That's a good book; worth reading. But to just cut and paste content from a five year old book shows a laziness and inability to generate new ideas and thoughts. That decreases the value of this book by at least half. Sections on Traditional Advertising, Non-traditional Marketing, Selling, Ad Agencies, etc... seems the entire Chapter One is a direct lift. Not cool to repurpose five year old content. You mean nothing has changed in internet marketing in five years? There's not even a section in this book on Social Media - one of the greatest values in Grassroots Marketing ever developed. Chapter Four (Mass Ad Media) is also a direct lift from Street Fighter Marketing Solutions. A new coat of paint on the same old ideas. Save your money. Laziness like this should not be rewarded with your hard-earned dollars.

Same book 5 April 2012

I agree with the one star reviewer. This book is a duplicate of Slutsky's other book. There's about 40 pages of material from Dan Kennedy, but nothing that isn't covered in his other books. This is the last "co-authored" Kennedy book I'm buying.

Offline local marketing at its finest 1 Feb. 2013
By claude whitacre - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
If you own a small business, and want inexpensive ways to market...this is the book.

I've seen Jeff Slutsky on stage, as well as Dan Kennedy. They both know their stuff.

This book is very nearly a rewrite of Streetfighting, a book written by Jeff several years ago. But the methods aren't dated. They still work today.

His ideas rely heavily on making alliances with other local merchants and service providers. These alliances cost you nothing, and bring more customers to both your businesses.

There are several ways to structure these joint ventures, and you see several examples of cases where these ideas worked wonderfully.

I think I got a great deal of information from the book, and have implemented one joint venture idea already. More than worth the price of admission.

Solutions to the Small Business Owner Who Cant' Pay a Ton for Advertising 27 Jan. 2012
By Benjamin W. Glass - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
I got a sneak peak at the galley proofs and can tell you that this book is another "winner" in the Kennedy "No. B.S." series of books.

If you are running a small business and you don't have millions (or even thousands) of dollars to spend on marketing then do yourself a favor and get Dan and Jeff's new book. It is filled with useful "guerilla" type ideas for making your business stand out. Most business owners are just too lazy about this.. preferring to hand over their credit cards to the "marketing vultures" who will willingly sell you an ad campaign and then blame you when it doesn't work.. their solution for everything?: you should have bought more of what we are selling.

Warning and disclaimer: this book will do you no good if all you do is read it but never take action. The most successful small biz owners tend to be action oriented, so if you think that by just reading this book your world will change, you are better off reading fiction.

Great book for finding your way through a jungle of the unknown. 9 Nov. 2012

I am self-employed and I needed a book to point the way and to help me to organize and to clarify my intentions. This book is a great way to make choices that save time and to move toward action.
