Product Description

Book 2 in the Caledonia Fae series.

A faerie prince disappears in the borderlands, and his father enlists the help of outcast Eilidh and her bonded druid, Quinton Munro. Tantalised with hints of a lost and ancient magic, they learn that time is working against them every step of the way. Is the prince’s disappearance related to the vanishing of an entire Scottish village?

Faced with deception, assassination attempts, and a mad queen who would sacrifice her own child to keep a dreaded secret, Eilidh struggles with an impossible situation. Her people demand she commit treason and betray the man she loves. Will she do what duty requires, or throw away the chance to reunite the kingdom in exchange for the life she hadn't dared hope for?

Caledonia Fae:
Book 1: Blood Faerie
Book 2: Azuri Fae
Book 3: Enemy of the Fae (Coming 2012)

About the Author

India knew from age nine that writing would be her passion. Since then she's discovered many more, but none quite so fulfilling as creating a world, a character, or a moment and watching them evolve into something complex and compelling. She has lived in three countries and four American states, is a dual British and American citizen, and currently lives at the base of the Scottish Highlands in a village so small its main attraction is a red phone box. In other words: paradise. The supernatural and paranormal have always fascinated India. In addition to being an avid sci-fi and fantasy reader, she also enjoys mysteries, thrillers, and romance. This probably explains why her novels have elements of adventure, ghosts (or elves, fairies, angels, aliens, and whatever else she can dream up), and a touch of romance.

After reading Blood Faerie - Contemporary Urban Fantasy (Caledonia Fae, Book 1), I was intrigued by the faerie world India Drummond so effortlessly created, and I couldn't wait to read more. Azuri Fae definitely doesn't disappoint -- if anything, it ratchets up the tension even more. Independent outcast Eilidh faces obstacles at almost every turn: with Munro in her burgeoning relationship; with the fae of her past who had cast her out; and with the new society who has given her a home. With loyalties pulling her in every direction, I had no idea which way she'd turn. I just had to keep reading until I found out! Original and engaging, Drummond's atmospheric writing provides the perfect escape into another realm, and I readily admit that I can't get enough of it!

I adore this series! 12 Feb 2012

Finished reading the second instalment of India Drummonds Calendonia Fae series and oh my goodness! This series is rapidly becoming a firm favourite. I have the books on kindle for computer, but these will definitely be ones that I buy in hard copy when I can. Azuri Fae continues the story of the Azuri Fae Eilidh and her druid Quinton Munro. A faery Prince disappears, and Eilidh and Munro are tasked secretly to find him. There are twists and turns and more druids and Azuri Fae throughout the book, that made me want to go to perth and the Isle of Skye to see them in person. I found myself getting very frustrated and hurting on their behalf in some parts.

I was straight in India Drummonds Faerie world from the first page and read it straight through - you know its a fantastic book when you really wish the rest of the world would go away and stop talking to you! :) I don't want to give too much of the story away, but if you like a book that transports you to another world, where for the duration of the book you feel you are right there and even when you finish the characters stay with you and you can't wait to find out what happens next, then I suggest you immediately buy firstly, Blood Faerie (Book 1) and then Azuri Fae (Book 2). I am so glad I found these books and can't wait to see what happens in Enemy of the Fae (Book 3 - due for release 2012)

Another Great Story 29 Nov 2011
By L.J. Sellers, novelist - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
I read Blood Faerie and was intrigued by the characters and the author's artful blend of urban fantasy and crime fiction. This second book in the series explores the fantasy world even more and takes the relationship between Eilidh and Monroe to a new and satisfying level. In Azuri Fae, the stakes couldn't be higher, with a missing prince and kingdoms on the verge of war. Eilidh is forced to choose between her old faerie kingdom and her new home with the Azuri, and ultimately she must sacrifice herself to save both. A compelling read!

Urban Fantasy for adults at last! 29 Mar 2012

I really liked Holly Blacks urban fantasy series starting with White Cat. The characters in this book are more mature and less likely to make stupid mistakes. (I get sick of reading about teenagers all the time, there is life after you graduate school!)
An outcast Faerie and a cop with some supernatural abilities team up to uncover the fiend behind a series of bazaar and brutal killings. At first they find it hard to trust and understand each other but they need to work together to stop the killer. This series is set in Scotland and has a real feel for the city and also the faerielands that are encountered. It is well written and altogether superior to India Drummonds series about Angels. Highly recommend!

Excellent series! 5 Mar 2012
By Road Rage - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
I love all things Fae, so I went into book 1 with high expectations, yet very cautious. I was NOT disappointed! I detest sloppy romance novels with extreme sex scenes, so I'm always worried about what I'll find in a fantasy book. There was none of that in the first or second book. It was all done very tastefully. I don't like constant cursing in books either, and although there was a little in them, it wasn't too often.

The story was original and I enjoyed reading about the various types of magic the author described. I also enjoyed not reading page after page of descriptions of scenes. If an auther can't make me understand the thoughts or scenes in less than a paragraph, then it needs changed. This author did it quite well!!

Eilidh and Quinton, along with many other new characters, kept me reading for about 5 hours...until I finished the book!

Side Note ** I would love to have seen something in the book telling us how to pronounce the names. We only learn how to say Eilidh's name in book one, but there are many others, and I think it would be nice to know.
