My 7 year old has quite a few of these Usborne Beginners books and started collecting them when he was just 4 when we bought Night Animals. Over the years we have purchased other titles as he has become interested in them from Cowboys, Pirates and now to Romans, Egyptians and Aztecs. They are great bedtime reading as they are just the right length and not to wordy or complex which keeps them interested not bored. He can also read them himself and has shared them with friends when they've come over. They have some gruesome and exciting fact and good pictures. We will keep choosing these books as they really hit the spot with young learners.
