Fascinating history engagingly written. 12 Jun. 2011
By Derek Ward - Published on
Format: Kindle Edition
I can't attest to the scholarship first hand but it seems pretty solid, and for an early 20th-century work in historical anthropology it is surprisingly non-racist and unpatronizing. Definitely worth a read to better get to know the people with the reputation of Rudest Dudes.

This book is not entirely reliable for knowledge. 13 July 2014
By Byravan Viswanathan - Published on
Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase
Fairly clear description of the way the Aztecs lived based on eye witness accounts by explorers in the 16th. century. There could be inaccuracies associated with misunderstanding of their culture and exaggeration by the authors.
