I came to this book as someone interested in religion, and particularly women's spirituality and thinking. Maitland writes with intelligence and a giving friendly tone, offering personal insights into faith and how she feels God has a place as creator of the universe. Perhaps opening up more questions rather than offering answers, this book is an intriguing and easy-enough read. I would like to have known more about Maitland's own personal beliefs, and especially as a woman, but perhaps this is not what the book is about - but in some ways I would have liked the obvious Christian bias to come through and for the author to truly speak from the heart about a direct and personal relationship with the God she calls awesome. Would reccommend to anyone interested in spirituality, theology, etc..
