I watched this dvd over the weekend, and was a little dissapointed.
I have to agree with some of the points by another review by Stilts.
I just wish Avril drops this whole pink bubblegum look, and go back to what made her famous in the first place. I just cannot help but wonder who she really wants to be. The punk/rock chick we all fell in love with back with her first album, or a pink teen pop princess. If you are the latter, you would love this dvd.
Don't get me wrong, she still rocks! and I still like her, I am just not one for this whole pink pop thing. For one thing - she lost her male audience. Clearly seen in this dvd.
Right after I watched this, I watched the "My world" dvd, and was amazed at how much better it was for me.
I hope to see the rock chick Avril once was, in the future again. And instead of skipping around the stage and powdering her nose, give us performances like the Metallica song "fuel" that she sang a few years back. And more ballads..... thank goodness she played some of her best ballads on this dvd, otherwise I would have never watched it again.
Here is a great idea for her manager....
"Get Avril to do a unplugged show on dvd" That will be awesome!! And I will pay any amount of money to see that!

This DVD captures no energy of the live perfomance, it may as well just be a CD. However, Avril performs well, and does all her greatest hits.
If you are looking for as close to a gig experiance as possible through a DVD, i strongly recommend 'Paramore-The Final Riot', and 'Green Day-Bullet In A Bible'

Avril Lavigne - The Best Damn Tour [DVD] [2008]
Would recomend this, absolutely! I got it for my 6yr old girl hoping that she would like it and now it's rarely out of the dvd player, it's full of well organised dance routines and catchy songs you could sing along to as well, for two hours peace and quiet it's well worth the money that i paid, and to cap it off delivery was realy quick too and any questions that i had were answered without delay. amazon.co.uk and that seller will be seeing me again, definately. Thanks guy's!
