Book Description
Aviation English is a new course in English Language Communication Skills for pilots and air- traffic controllers. It is designed to help students achieve and maintain a Level 4 according to the ICAO* language requirements.
The course can be used as a self- study package for individuals or with groups in a classroom.
The Student's Book is based on ICAO document 9835: Manual on the implementation of ICAO Language Proficiency Requirements. Everything in it has been carefully designed to help you develop the very specific skills described in the ICAO Level 4 Language Profile.
The CD-ROM complements the course by providing interactive simulations, detailed pronunciation and extra listening. The CD-ROM is divided into 12 units which match those of the student's Book.
As well as containing teaching notes, listening scripts and detailed answers for all the activities in the Student's Book, the Teacher's Book includes background information and advise to assist teachers in the delivery and context of the exercises. There is helpful information for both aviation experts with little experience of teaching and teachers with little experience of aviation.

A good source of material but should not be used as the only source if your goal is to cover all the categories needed to achieve ICAO Level 4. Contains some very useful comprehension exercises and guides for Structure, Vocabulary and Fluency.

It should come with the listening cd in order to make the exercises, and if it came with the answers it would be much better, beside that the book is fine.

I ordered this book for my Aviation English class and as promised, the book arrived on time. Most importantly, the book was in excellent condition and the seller had very specific specifications on return policy (should I decided not to get the book).
