This review is from: La Aventuroj de Alicio en Mirlando (Alice's Adventures in Wonderland in Esperanto) (Paperback)
This is a very attractive little book. The front and back covers, the illustrations, the quality of the printing are all very good. I am happy to add this book to my collection.
I downloaded Lewis Carroll's 'Alice's Adventures in Wonderland' from Project Gutenberg and am reading the original and this Esperanto edition simultaneously. Although I place my knowledge of Esperanto somewhere around advanced beginner or maybe early intermediate level, this is helping to increase my knowledge of Esperanto's vocabulary and grammar. Seeing non-everyday words like caterpillar, March Hare, Cheshire Cat, lackey/footman, Mock Turtle, etc. put into Esperanto (rauxpo, Martleporo, Cxesxira Kato, lakeo, Falsa Kelonio, ktp.) is amusing to say the least.
Although it is a minor thing, I noticed that this Esperanto edition uses the metric system for measurements, whereas the original novel uses the English inches/feet/miles. It is a bit distracting although I am not reading the book for pleasure as much as for improving my knowledge of the Esperanto language.
