When I bought this it was advertised as a Releigh, which it clearly isn't.
It was poor design & fiddly so I sent it back. Halfords do a far superior model with a quick release button which is easier to use.

I bought this product due to my wife and I heading out more on the bikes, so a good bar is essential for the carrier on the car. This bar was terrible! Normally I don't write reviews but this time I had to. I've since sent the bar back for a refund because it was not usable.
The hoops were not good enough to glasp the bike.
The extesion bar would slip and slide far too much.
It wasn't very user friendly.
I simply didn't feel as if this was a safe piece of apparatus to be on the back of the car.
Think I'll invest in a more expensive one that works.

I would recommend this cross-bar converter to anyone with a larger frame ladies bicycle (mine is a Giant 7-speed) Before fitting the cross -bar, it was quite difficult to attach the bike to the rack securely. Once the false cross-bar was fitted the job became much simpler and we now use it regularly.

great little gadget
This is a great little gadget to help sit ladies style bikes nicely on to a bike rack. Easy to put on and take off. Does the job well.
