A good collection 24 April 2012
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
I'm a huge fan of the series, and i enjoyed reading this book. Some of the stories are pure gag stories, while others add somewhat to the plot (don't expect major plot tough). The stories are hilarious, and stay true to the spirit and humor of the show.
The only thing anoying me (and dragging this down to 4 stars) is the constant shift in art style, however this is something that can not be avoided with this kind of collection, having so many different artist work on the same book. Most of the artists however do a fantastic job, some may be going a little to far away from the original art style, but i still like most of it, and there are only a couple i actually dislike (sorry to any fans of his out there, but i simply do not care for Corey Lewis' art). So while the shift in art is anoying me, the quality of the differet art styles keeps it to a minimum.
So to all the Avatar fans out there, buy this book, but don't expect more than it is: a collection of short side-stories.

Impressed! 1 May 2012
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
I actually found out about this comic after purchasing 'The Promise - Part One'.

To my delight, this was actually at least three times longer than 'The Promise - Part One' (in hindsight I suppose its to be expected as it is a collection of lost adventures).

My only (teeny tiny) gripe was that not all the strips had the same artist i.e. one or two kind of stood out because they were drawn quite differently in different contrast etc but I guess I was just being picky.

Make no mistake, I thought it was totally worth the money! Overall, this was pretty much exactly what I wanted. Some comics were fun and very Aang-ish albeit slightly off track, but most would have fitted seamlessly into the episodes themselves and were as captivating as the A:TLA series itself. I think this comic is a good reflection of that and anyone who loved A:TLA would love this for sure!

An okay comic collection 24 April 2012
By Alex
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
While I didn't expect much more, this is just a collection of some short comics set in the Avatar: The Last Airbender universe, most of which attempt, but fail, to be funny. I would only recommend it to little children who are watching the cartoon on TV.

For fans of the show who want some good comics set in that universe, I recommend Avatar: The Last Airbender - The Promise Part 1.
