This is an excellent and detailed book on the planet of Pandora from James Cameron's Avatar and is full of information on it. You learn about the planets many inhabitants from the Na'vi to every other animal and plant. You also find out about the planets many wonders and its position in the universe, as well as information on the RDA. Worth the money, extremely happy that I bought this.

This book is brilliant for any hardcore Avatar fans. It goes into all those extra pieces of detail that you sit there dying to know during the film and more. Makes for a very interesting read and sends your imagination spinning over Pandora all over again.

Here's something you HAVE to buy if you're an Avatar fan. Full of interesting info on Pandora, the creatures, the plants, the traditions, etc.
It's good to have it if there are some things you didn't understand in the movie or if you forgot the name of some creature, for instance.
And the pictures on every page are just amazing.
Interesting to read and beautiful to look at.
5/5 :)

The guide is filled with a wealth of information regarding the fauna, flora and geology of Pandora, the Na'vi society (very insightful since relatively little of the Na'vi village life made it to the movie), the weaponry of both humans and Na'vi as well as some useful background regarding the state of planet Earth and the motivations and tactics of RDA.
Every entry is well-written and as scientifically sound as the science-fiction genre will allow, which makes for an engrossing read.

Because it shows and discusses so much more than was shown in the movie, this book is a must have for anyone who enjoyed Avatar. It will make you realise just how much work went into creating Pandora and its inhabitants and will add considerable depth to the movie itself and enhance further viewings.

The book really acomplishes the goal of bringing us the world of Avatar and all the animals, plants and tools of the movie. Yet... the images used are pre post-production and that is what makes the book almost perfect. Some of the images are poor in detail and they should have gone either for the sketch style illustration or 3D rendered objects in full detail. This way it feels like it was a rushed production and is never good...
Still it is a good buy for the price. I would recomend it if you really liked Pandora (even if you didn't like the movie).

This field guide is everything that the Avatar fan needs on their shelf to add more knowledge and background to the wonderful world of Pandora. It gives detailed information about the geology of the moon, why the unobtanium is so wanted, the formation of the Hallelujah Mountains, the life of the native Na'vi, the many plants and animals that inhabit the moon as well as some detailed information on the RDA. All in all, the wealth of knowledge that is contained in this book about Pandora makes is valuable to the Avatar fan. At the back of the book there is also a Na'vi to English dictionary but, unfortunately, there are no guidelines on how to speak the language and if your looking for a particular word from English to Na'vi, then you have to look through the whole dictionary, which is the only time it good that its small. Excellent book and I rarely go anywhere without it.
