If you find the thought of planning your wedding a little daunting, then here's a great software program to help make sure the big day goes off without a hitch!
We've teamed up with British Software publisher GSP to bring you the 'Wedding Planner' for your PC. It's a simple, easy-to-use wedding organiser which takes care of every aspect of your wedding day from ordering flowers and sending out invitations, to arranging the reception seating plan.
Lucy and Roger have just announced their engagement. What they may not realise however, is that they need to think about what decisions have to be made before, at, and after the wedding. Wedding Planner's Task List and Project Planner work together to quickly remind the engaged couple of all their responsibilities, e.g. they will be prompted to check the legal requirements for their marriage licence and reminded to go back to the Register Office, or Church, three months before their wedding day.
The father of the bride is paying for the whole wedding. He would appreciate a budget plan which Lucy could present to him at any time. Using the Budget Planner, Lucy can allocate costs to each task and remind herself if deposits need to be made and when final payments are due. She can also keep her spending close to her father's budget.
A family get-together is arranged to decide guests and numbers (by this time, Lucy is at the end of her tether as her parents seem to be planning table seating before the invitations have been sent out). Lucy would be better of using Wedding Planner's Guest List to keep track of who's coming, and then preparing an accurate seating plan for the benefit of both guests and caterers. As soon as the number of guests has been decided, Wedding Planner replaces the need to ask a print company to provide expensive wedding invitations. Lucy can print invites and name place cards straight from her desk top printer.
Roger is keen to get the Wedding Gift List out so he can make sure he gets his Black & Decker work bench to help build a shelf for his football cups. A detailed list of gifts can be printed out and sent to guests highlighting the make, model, store and price.

It won't do everything for you, and a few things are a bit naff....but it certainly helped to spread out costs and gave us a timeline of when things should be done by. It also helped us remember who got us what presents so we could personalise our thank-you notes...

The wedding planner is a godsend. It is helping us keep track of all the many things we need to do in the lead up to the day. The stationery part of it will save us £100's as we will now be making our own. Well worth the money.
