So far I'm not too impressed with this. I have not tried any other family tree software so I'm not sure if this is standard or not, but it doesn't really give you much (though what it does do, it does reasonably!)
On the plus side, it *is* incredibly simple to use: you don't really need a manual and I was able to sit down and whip up a quick tree with no coaching or any help from the help-files. It is quite clearly laid out and I like the choice of ascending or descending trees in the tree view.
However, having entered the most rudimentary information, you are faced with "now what?". There is only a very small area on "notes" about your family member, not the enriching area for stories, files and pictures that I was hoping for, and - which is worse - the multimedia area only seems to be able to take .bmp and .wav files, which makes it quite limited. Guess who uses jpeg files and doesn't want to go down to bitmaps??
This product isn't bad, but really it needs more features to be a really great product. Either that or I just haven't found the best bits yet. Perhaps future version will be a lot slicker. It IS only a tenner, too.

"Family tree" is another brilliant creation by GSP, which makes it simple to track your family, including features like; Adding Multimedia objects like photos of the person and you can do multiple families. This is highly recommended by my family and me. You can put your family on to a CD and pass it on to the heir of your families names and who knows how long it will last and how many more names will be added. People will remember the name of the person who started the tree in hundreds of years to come, and that persons name, that will go down in history will be yours!
